People’s Print Reaches Crowdfunding Target: Bringing Community-Led Design to Life

People’s Print Reaches Crowdfunding Target

We are delighted to share that People’s Print has successfully reached its crowdfunding target.

This milestone represents much more than a financial goal. It is a vote of confidence in the idea that creativity, community and UK manufacturing can work together to create something meaningful, beautiful and lasting.

People’s Print is a social enterprise that brings people together through creative workshops to generate original surface pattern designs. These designs are then developed into products, creating opportunities for participation, wellbeing and connection while supporting British manufacturing.

At a time when AI-generated imagery is becoming increasingly commonplace, People’s Print celebrates something different: authentic, human-made design rooted in real experiences, communities and stories.

This funding allows us to take the next step in bringing that vision to life.

What This Funding Will Enable

The crowdfunding campaign will support the delivery of a programme of creative workshops across Lancashire and beyond, working with community groups, charities, schools and partner organisations.

Participants will explore drawing, mark-making, printmaking and pattern design, contributing to the creation of original textile and surface pattern designs that have the potential to become commercially produced products.

The funding will also help strengthen links between community creativity and UK manufacturing, demonstrating how design can create both social and economic value.

As the project develops, we hope to continue creating opportunities for people to build confidence, learn new skills and experience the wellbeing benefits that creative participation can bring.

Thank You to Our Sponsors and Partners

This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity, encouragement and belief of our sponsors, partners and supporters.

By backing People’s Print, our supporters are helping to create accessible creative opportunities while championing a model that values collaboration, craftsmanship and social impact.

Together, we are demonstrating that community-led creativity can produce high-quality design outcomes while supporting local organisations, celebrating regional heritage and contributing to the future of UK manufacturing.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has joined us on this journey so far.

Celebrating the Journey: Lancashire Exhibition 2027

One of the most exciting outcomes of the project will be a public exhibition planned for early 2027 in Lancashire (venue to be confirmed).

The exhibition will celebrate the creativity, collaboration and craftsmanship that sit at the heart of People’s Print. Visitors will have the opportunity to view original artwork, pattern designs and finished products created through the programme.

The event will also provide an opportunity to meet participants, sponsors, community partners and manufacturers who have contributed to the project, offering a unique insight into the creative process behind the work.

More than an exhibition, it will be a celebration of the people, partnerships and shared values that make People’s Print possible.
